Remembering Sharlene Milligan with the Grand Teton Association

Sharlene Milligan, a Murfin Award recipient, was Grand Teton Association's Executive Director for 25 years. Sharlene was one of the original natural history association leaders and her ideas were an important viewpoint in developing the goals of the Conference of National Park Cooperating Associations, then APPL, and now the Public Lands Alliance.
Sharlene was a driving force that pushed for recognition of association accomplishments.  She grew the association from a single bookshelf to a thriving business. A former board member and state representative said, "We owe her a lot for her strong commitments and willingness to speak out." And as one friend shared, "She taught me so much...the world according to Sharlene was wonderful."   Marketplace
