Path to Eagle Workshop

Saturday, March 4 - This weekend, Scouts looking to advance to Eagle are invited to this helpful session. Workbook here. Location: Del Valle Park from 9:00 - 10:30am in the Activity Room (not Youth Center).

Last Thursday, top city officials congratulated the 2016 Class of Eagle Scouts. From Long Beach: Mayor Garcia, Vice Mayor Richardson, and Police Chief Luna met with Eagles. See photos here. Also in attendance were Lakewood Councilmen Todd Rogers and Jeff Wood and Mayor Dan Koops of Bellflower.

The numbers are in: 55,186 Eagle Scouts nation-wide in 2016. Each project gave an estimated 165.9 hours of service! Check this link for the state with most Eagles and the average age of 2016 Eagle Scouts.

Sat/Sun April 8-9 - We are looking for Scouts age 16+ to form an Honor Patrol for the LB Grand Prix! Assist race fans with info and seating. Adults also eligible. Get access to the race, lunch, and more. RSVP here.
Spring Camporee 2017

Weekend of May 5-7 - "Cycle de Mayo" comes to Santa Fe Recreation Dam. Troop Leader Guide just posted. Work on requirements for the Cycling merit badge. See flyer. Events will include skills required for First Class.
