Referendum Questions Answered

 
On the Nov. 8 ballot Baraboo School District voters will be asked to vote on a Phase II Referendum to address the most significant challenges facing Baraboo High School

These include improving educational environments to maximize teaching and learning, providing additional capacity in common spaces such as the cafeteria, and addressing large capital maintenance needs. 
 
* Renovated Classrooms including Technology Education, Physical Education, Art, and Family and Consumer Science.
* Flexible and Adaptable Learning Spaces.
* Expanded Cafeteria/Student Commons, Relocated Kitchen.
* Remodeled Library and Student Services Offices.
* Mechanical Upgrades including HVAC and Fire Sprinkler System Installation.
* Updated Locker Rooms.
* Basic Improvements to Building.

Business Advisory Council Off to Strong Start
Thank you to the business leaders who attended our first Baraboo School District Business Advisory Council meeting this week to collaborate with the district for the benefit and strength of the Baraboo community!

This ongoing series of meetings will allow business leaders to learn about the strategies the Baraboo School District is working on to better prepare students for the workforce, and will give district leaders the opportunity to hear feedback and focus on next steps to address their local needs.

Future Baraboo School District Business Advisory Council meetings will take place  Jan. 11, Mar. 15, and  May 17 and all area welcome to attend. A light breakfast will be provided. No need to RSVP.  

Key Club Offers Raking Help

BHS Key Club members will rake your leaves... though they might have a little fun in them first.
 
The Baraboo High School Key Club is coordinating a leaf raking service project.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance raking leaves, contact the Key Club at KeyClub@BarabooSchools.net or call 608- 571-7539 or 608-571-7KEY.

Leaf raking will take place, weather permitting, on Saturdays Oct. 29 & Nov. 5.





'Beauty and the Beast' visits classrooms
Actors from the upcoming Baraboo Theatre Guild production of "Beauty and the Beast" visited East Elementary and Jack Young Middle School this week to share songs and teach students about what goes on behind the scenes.

The show will run at the Al Ringling Theatre on Nov. 3-5 and Nov. 10-12 at 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 6 and Nov. 13 at 2 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the theatre or at Corner Drug downtown Baraboo, or by visiting barabootheatreguild.org.













First Parent Night Event Monday!
This school year the district is excited to offer a series of Parent Nights, bringing in experts in different fields to give insights, resources and strategies for the issues that matter most to parents in our community. 

Each event will take place in the Jack Young Middle School auditorium and is free and open to the public. Parents will leave feeling informed, connected and empowered to help their children navigate an evolving world.
