The 1881 discovery of silver saw Calico, a town near Barstow, begin and grow into southern California's richest silver strike. The bust followed and then came a strike of borate that gave Calico a second boom. Hear about the fascinating stories of the old-timers who gave Calico its special character. Book signing after Q & A
