Many of you are familiar with the Fountain Hills Coalition, a broad-based organization that focuses on using community-wide collaboration to reduce substance abuse among youth ages 12 to 18, and over time, among adults. The Coalition brings together many sectors of our community including schools, state and national prevention agencies, the faith-based community, Town government, youth-serving organizations, the media, and law enforcement. It has been a tremendous support to the district and our students, bringing in special events, sponsoring the annual essay and poster contests, and promoting things such as the Safe Homes Network.
During the month of March, the Fountain Hills Coalition is reaching out to get your input and thoughts on issues that are important to the community and our kids. I'm asking you to take 10 minutes and complete the online survey to help the Coalition enhance and expand the important work they are doing. You can take the survey on your computer or any mobile device and your responses will be anonymous and confidential. Here's a link to the survey:

Spring Break
Just in case you didn't mark your calendar previously, next week is officially Spring Break. Classes will resume on Monday, March 20th. It's been an excellent year so far and I look forward to the fourth quarter and a strong finish to the school year. We have AzMERIT testing, AP testing, exciting field trips, and numerous awards and recognition events waiting for us upon our return from break. I hope everyone is able to enjoy the time away and return rested, recharged, and ready to roll.
