Argyle Cheese Farmer to relocate plant to Glens Falls

Argyle Cheese Farmer is relocating much of its artisan cheese and yogurt making operation to Pruyn's Island in Glens Falls, as part of an expansion projected to increase employment from 10 to 17 people over three years.

"We looked for two years in Washington County and couldn't find a location that worked," said Marge Randles, co-owner with her husband Dave Randles.

The milk will still come from the herd raised on the family's farm in Argyle, which Will Randles, brother of Dave Randles, runs.

The venture illustrates the value of neighboring counties working together for the good of the regional economy, said EDC Warren County President Edward Bartholomew.

Visual Arts Gallery Presents

A Thousand Words
Works by Len Davis
February 16 Through April 6, 2017

Artist Len Davis explores the interplay between the figurative and literal term through 100 8-by-5-inch collages incorporated with drawings of people's faces executed on text-filled newsprint pages.  When looking at a person's facial expression, you can tell how they're feeling at that particular moment.  Whereas, text, words, verbiage and recognizable text and identify marks explain it for you.  Either way, we're provided a mental picture from both, which illustrate the fact that "A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words."
