Embracing a Life of Meaning
is the title of this year's
Ecumenical Lenten Lunch and Learn program.

 Adult Forum Continues

 Lively Discussion Guaranteed!

From Rev. Claudia:

At a time when many are discerning how to live-out their faith in their daily lives, the upcoming Adult Forum will be looking to the teachings of Jesus for guidance by reading together Fr. John Dear's newest book titled The Beatitudes of Peace

"The Beatitudes are the hope and prayer and vision of Jesus...the blueprint for Christian discipleship, the job description of every Christian," writes John Dear.

From Suzanne Decrow:

ALTAR GUILD OPPORTUNITY

"It takes many hands to do the various jobs that St. Francis requires to function as a vibrant and meaningful parish.

Setting the Lord's table for our church services is one of these important jobs.

Due to a number of reasons, the Altar Guild is desperately in need of some new members- especially with the summer season of two-service Sundays soon to be upon us!

The job does not entail a lot of time. The set-up for a Sunday service takes less than a half hour. The clean-up of the altar vessels and caring of the linens are also not time-consuming tasks.

If we have at least 5- 6 members you will only be "on duty" about once every six weeks.

Please contact Suzanne Decrow if you have questions or might consider becoming a member of this committee.

Training will be provided.

 Thank you! "

 Spiritual Life Conference
Your Spirit. Your World.
Connecting Heart, Earth & Soul
Each of us wants to make a mark on this world. What does your mark look like? Do you express love? Will you help heal the
planet and its people? Do you have enough faith in yourself to take up the challenge? The 2017 Downeast Spiritual Life Conference will explore these questions and help you identify and express your longing for a meaningful life that brings justice and healing to the world.
