There will be some new recommended vaccinations for the 2017-18 school year for grades 6-12.  These recommended vaccinations will become required for the 2018-19 school year.  I have attached the recommendations/requirements.  Please make a note to have your child receive these immunizations, if appropriate, and send the documentation to my office.  If you have any questions, please contact my office at [email protected].

Indiana Education Expenses Deduction
If you have a dependent child enrolled in K-12 private school or who is home-schooled, you 
may qualify for an Indiana Unreimbursed Education Expense deduction based on education 
expenditures for that child. Expenditures include tuition, fees, textbooks, and school supplies. 
If you are eligible, this deduction is $1,000 per qualified dependent. Details can be found in

Blood Drive Thank You
Thank you Guerin Catholic faculty, staff, parents, students, and alumni for raising your arms at the Blood Drive last Friday, March 3rd. With your help the Indiana Blood Center collected 124 units of blood which will help save up to 372 lives. A special thank you to Chick-fil-a of Westfield, Jimmy Johns of Westfield, McDonalds of Westfield, and Titus Bakery of Westfield for their food donations for the Blood Drive. The Adam Vinatieri football that the Indiana Blood Center gave away went to Max Gorsage. Congratulation, Max!

CALL-OUT MEETING SCHEDULED
 
The girl's soccer program will host a call-out meeting on Tuesday, March 14th.  Location is the GCHS cafeteria, 7-8P. 
 
All student-athletes that plan to compete for the Golden Eagles in 2017 should plan to attend.  At least one parent should plan to attend as well.

Girls Lacrosse 
The girls LAX team will be doing a service projects at the SMG Food Pantry and Alternatives Inc. These organizations assist people in our community in great need or who have been victims of domestic abuse. We will be collecting donations through March 24th. The items needed are:

  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo 
  • Conditioner
  • Ethic Hair Products
  • Brushes
  • Combs
  • "Spring" items - toys, candy and basket items
