Community Eventsevents
Dover Art Walk
3/3, 5-8pm, Washington Street Mills
RSP Studio Custom Framing, Dover Business Industrial Development Authority, D Graphics, Made in Dover, And Dover Main Street are launching a community-wide effort to change all that. Dover will be hosting a monthly Art Walk from 5 - 8 PM, on the first Friday of each month. The walks will begin at Washington Street Mills, where walkers will be able to pick up a map, and visit galleries and studios in the mill. A variety of downtown businesses will be hosting art, including Gallery 6 located in the Children's Museum, Adelle's, Needful Things, Nicole's Hallmark, Village Goldsmith Gallery, The Falls Grill & Tavern, Elle V Boutique, Pear Tree Paper & Gifts, Just the Thing, and Spires Video Services, and Dover Wine Company. Upon successful completion of the walk, a small prize will be awarded. Some of the artists may be present in their own galleries, or at various locations along the walk, and are enthusiastic about talking to the public about their work. The very first monthly Dover Art Walk takes place on Friday, March 3, from 5 - 8 PM, at the Washington Street Mills located at 1 Washington Street, Dover. Join WOKQ and The Shark at Soup's On! 
Soup's On!, presented by Dead River Company, will take place in the Great Bay Community College Gymnasium. Come sample over 30 varieties of delicious soup, all while enjoying soul warming entertainment, and a cold beverage from Samuel Adams with family and friends. Did we mention samples are UNLIMITED?! First Friday $3 after 3pm

Visit anytime after 3pm until 7pm on the first Friday of each month during the school year and enjoy the museum for only $3 per person! The $3 admission represents a 70% savings over regular admission, and offers families a fun opportunity for creative play before bedtime. Library passes and other discounts do not apply during this event. Dover's first Art Walk will also take place on March 3 and the museum's Gallery 6 is part of this free Art Walk. Exotic Plant Show

Cribbage Tournament at Wentworth House
Saturday, March 4, 2017, 1 pm - 5 pm
Colonel Paul Wentworth House, Water St, Rollinsford, NH
The public is invited to take a break from cabin fever with stimulating conversation and a classic card game at the 8th annual cribbage tournament at the historic Colonel Paul Wentworth House in Rollinsford. All skill ranges are welcome, from beginner to seasoned expert. Guests are invited to come as a team or as individuals. Solo players will be paired up with a partner on the afternoon of the tournament. Registration is at 1:00 pm and play begins at 1:30 pm. The entry fee is $30 per team or $20 per person, and a cash prize of $50 will be awarded to the tournament champion. Players are also asked to bring some food to share and the beverage of your choice. Paper goods and utensils will be provided. Get Your Questions Answered on the Heroin/Opioid Epidemic

Dover Public Library
New Hampshire was named the state with the second highest rate of deaths due to heroin/opioid use in 2015 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The state has seen a 191-percent increase over the past five years with overdose deaths predicted at over 500 for 2016. On Monday, March 6 at 6 PM, the Dover Public Library will explore the heroin/opioid problem further by inviting the public to a discussion with five community members involved in the prevention, recovery and legal aspects of the epidemic. Those who attend the discussion are encouraged to bring any questions they may have for the panel members. The event is free and open to the public. Teen Weekend Getaway for Teens with Chronic Medical Conditions!

Their student models will exhibit attire and accessories from many local businesses, all of who generously support St. Thomas Aquinas and this fundraising initiative for their tuition-assistance program.
