A BRIGHT BEGINNING CHILD CARE SOCIETY
From the Society Governing Board:
We always welcome interested parents who could bring their knowledge and ideas to the table. We meet once a month. On the table is fee increases, fundraising, grant proposal writing to secure funds for upgrades to the Centre's aging equipment. New ideas are needed for a healthy growth. Volunteer executive persons are necessary for the Centre's operation to keep the doors open.

Safe Growth Matching Grant
Deadline is March 31, 2017
The Safe Growth Matching Grant enables Business, Neighbourhood Associations and Not for Profit Groups to apply for up to $2,500 in matching grants to help make improvements to their site. Applying the Safe Growth Principles to site enhancements will assist in making their areas feel safer and more connected.
SafeGrowth is applied through several key and overlapping strategies; natural surveillance, territorial reinforcement, access control, image, conflicting user groups, activity support, crime generators, land use mix, movement predictors, displacement, cohesion, connectivity, capacity and culture.

Downtown Rehab Project Phase 1 and 2 Info Session
Join the
City of Grande Prairie for an informal chance to learn more about the 2017 construction on the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project.
An Information Session is being held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22 in the Teresa Sargent Hall at the Montrose Cultural Centre.
Topics to be covered include the construction schedule and staging, details of the construction work, traffic accommodation, business access and communications.
All members of the public are invited, and downtown business owners are strongly encouraged to attend.
This event is informal and is a great opportunity to get an in-depth overview of the work that is anticipated to take place on the project in 2017. Representatives from the City, the consultant (ISL Engineering) and the contractor (Wapiti Gravel Suppliers Ltd.) are all expected to be in attendance and available to answer questions.
A review of what was completed in 2016 is also scheduled.
Refreshments to be provided.
