"Out of Darkness" God's Politically Incorrect Call to Purity!
Tim Blair will teach on Romans 1:18-32 Sunday
It might be hard to believe but God is not politically correct! He has no interest in making sure everyone is comfortable. He simply wants everyone to come to repentance and to walk as Jesus walked! He does have a deep care and love for every single person on this earth. He is patient and desires for none to perish but the choice is up to us. The core question is: Will we follow Jesus or reject him and has teachings? So with a careful approach to the sensitive young believers that Ekklesia works with... we desire to provide teaching that guides them into a deeper walk of faith with Jesus. We chose to challenge the watered down cultural teachings of our day that preach diversity and acceptance of all life styles. We call all people to know the man called Jesus and to follow his teachings no matter how challenging to our cultural norms. The reality is... God will not force us to follow him. He will give the non-believer over to whatever depraved or corrupt mindset that he choses to follow. We have a choice to make and God desperately wants us to make the right one! So... this Sunday we will dive into deep waters and discuss God's desire for physical and spiritual purity. The wisdom of God and the foolishness of man will be on full display.

Next week, on March 19th Darren Hanson will return with part 3 of our series on the book of Romans with "Done Trying and Start Trusting" Romans chapter two.

Spring Time Food Bank Service Projects
Preparing Flower Pots
The Helpline Food Bank served around 13,000 persons last year. This number describes a count of non-duplicated individual persons who came to the food bank for assistance in their lives. In order to serve so many people the food bank also operates as a nursery selling plants throughout the year. The biggest selling plants are the hanging petunia baskets that are sold around Mother's Day each May. In order to prepare over 300 hanging baskets, Ekklesia was asked to help this week with the filling of each basket with topsoil. We will again have a crew up there next week off loading another truck load of topsoil. This service helps the food bank raise money to feed so many people and to pay the salaries of a few of their employees. Come May.. think about purchasing a beautiful basket of flowers for your favorite mom, wife or family member!

Teen Retreat to Ocean Shores  April 21-23
All Ekklesia youth are invited to participate in a joint youth retreat in April with the Port Orchard Church at Ocean Shores. The weekend will be filled with a great time to relax, have fun with other teens and to spend some time focusing on God. There will be a fee for the weekend retreat. Ryan and Sarah Pyke will be leading the group out and will coordinate all details. Let them know if you are interested in going!

March Winds and Rain
February and now the beginning of March has been a very wet time here in Port Orchard! It makes it kind of hard to do work for people outside but the needs continue to exit! Pray that Ekklesia servants find people in need who need the love of Jesus. Thank you to so many people for supporting our work as we pour ourselves into our community and offer a willing hand of service. May the coming weeks offer you and your family new ways to share the Kingdom of God.
