Help preserve a slice of West Virginia's history! Volunteers are needed to clear foliage, remove debris, and install a new roof. Come join Preserve WV AmeriCorps & Coalfield Development Corporation.

Free lunch, help protect your community!

Volunteers needed for the Kanawha County Health Department 2017 Full-Scale Emergency Preparedness Exercise.

The exercise will focus on strengthening the agency's capability to respond to public health and bio-terrorism emergencies. Volunteers are needed to serve as role players and some key staff positions during the exercise.These events are great opportunities to learn about protecting yourself, your family and your community in a public health emergency. Hospice Volunteer Training 
Beckley | March 30 & 31st 

As a volunteer you may provide companionship to parents/families, run errands, and assist with local office duties. There are several new programs such as: Life Stories, Hospitality, Tuck-In, Equipment Pickup and Vet-to-Vet programs.  

The next Volunteer Training Class is being held at Bowers Hospice House located at 454 Cranberry Drive on March 30 & 31st from 10am-1pm. Lunch will be provided. For more information contact Becky Lilly, 304-255-6404.

Braille & Bricklayers 
Kanawha State Forest 

Have skills in braille or bricklaying? -You could be Kanawha State Forest's hero! 

Volunteers are needed to create braille signs for the newly renovated Salamander Trail. This paved, wheelchair accessible trail includes new nature signs and guide ropes for the blind, so braille signage would be a big plus. 

The Kanawha State Forest Foundation is also seeking experienced bricklayers to volunteer their time for a much-needed  restroom at the group campground, located in Polly Hollow.
