Poolside Publication
While we are shut down, we are working on increasing our connection to YOU. Our staff here at the Lompoc Aquatic Center want to do our best to keep you in the loop of our current re-plaster project, upcoming events and any changes to programs or to the facility.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ashlee Winslow, Recreation Supervisor or click the link below to visit our website.
  Replastering has Begun
Our Aquatic Center staff is excited to share that the process of putting the new plaster in is underway! However, there is still work that needs to be done before we open the doors to the community.

Plastering each pool will take a day, so by the time you ready this, the pools will have been plaster and filled.

Plaster is sensitive and needs a two to three week curing period.

During this curing period, the pools need higher than normal levels of chemicals, along with regular brushing to remove any remaining plaster dust that might have settled at the bottom.

We are still projecting an opening date of the end of March, the exact date will be sent out as soon as it has been confirmed.

In the mean time, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Ashlee Winslow
Santa Ynez has Two Special Pools
On March  3rd, the Santa Ynez Community received two Olympic sized pools that traveled all the way from Omaha, Nebraska.

The pools will become part of a new aquatics wellness and sports medicine facility funded by the SYV Community Aquatics Foundation, a local nonprofit, and located at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School. A joint-use agreement grants access to both the community and the school.

Check out Santa Maria Times  for the full article.

Meet the Lompoc Aquatic Center Staff
Meet Eli and Eric or is it Eric and Eli? These hard working twins are the behind the scenes guys who are helping to ensure that the pool is in tip-top shape when we reopen.

Eli and Eric are both lifelong Lompoc natives. Aspiring photographers and entrepreneurs. In their free time they take photos, play sports, hike and travel. Staying active is their mantra. And in true twin fashion, they do a lot of these things together.

If you see these guys around, say hello and ask them if they have any cool photos and where their next adventure is.
