New Ohio Law Dealing With Employees Possessing Handguns to Take Effect Soon

Effective March 21, Ohio employers are no longer permitted to prohibit a person who has been issued a valid concealed handgun license from storing a firearm in the person's privately-owned vehicle on the employer's property.

MATTHEW RIES was recognized last month as one of the three MVPs among this year's Mahoning Valley 25 Under 35 Award winners. Matt was named a member (partner) at HHM in January. HHM Plays Key Role in Ytown Hotel Project
|
DENISE BAYER recently assisted NYO Property Group and related entities with the completion of financing arrangements for their transformation of the historic Stambaugh Building in downtown Youngstown into a 130-room DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. Bayer was part of a team that worked through agreements with three banks and several public agencies to secure five types of financing for the landmark project. The hotel is expected to open next year.

was recently elected to serve a four-year term on the Trumbull County Children's Services Board. The Children's Services agency advocates for and protects children in crisis situations, including those at risk for abuse and neglect.

SHAWNA L'ITALIEN was recently elected to another one-year term as president of the Sustainable Opportunity Development Center in Salem. The SOD Center promotes sustainable economic growth by encouraging collaboration of business and leadership outside political boundaries.

Schor Reappointed to Commission on CLE

NEIL SCHOR was recently appointed to another three-year term on the Ohio Supreme Court's Commission on Continuing Legal Education. He serves as the representative from the Seventh Appellate District.
