As your child may have shared or as you may have seen live on Facebook, this week we unveiled our new Eagle Pride marching band and color guard uniforms. A generous gift from Sam Rinehart '69, who played trumpet when he was an Eagle, made the gift of new uniforms possible.
There is plenty of time for students who play an instrument or are interested in learning how to play an instrument to sign-up for the 2017 Eagle Pride season. Additionally, any girls interested in joining the color guard are also encouraged to sign-up. Forms can be completed online
here
.
Starting this fall, participation in Eagle Pride will qualify for use of the PE waiver. This provides a "no cost" opportunity to earn the state of Ohio required PE credit while having fun with fellow students interested in music and entertaining our fans at Roger Glass Stadium - Home of the Chaminade Julienne Eagles and other stadiums in southwest Ohio.
If you have any questions about Eagle Pride, please let me know. Go Eagles!

From the Chaplain's Office
Update on Mother Adele: The Marianist Family recently received news regarding the cause of sainthood for Mother Adele, Foundress of the Marianist Sisters. The Vatican's Council of Theologians certified that a Marianist Sister from Italy was cured of her cancer without a medical explanation. There are still several steps involved in Mother Adele's journey to sainthood, but this is very exciting news for us! Let's continue to pray for our CJ community through Adele's intercession.

For the fourth year in a row, we are excited to host a Cost of Poverty Experience (C.O.P.E) role-playing simulation on Tuesday, Mar. 7 for our junior class. Adult volunteers are needed for two sessions from 8:15 - 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 - 2:50 p.m. Adult volunteers will manage a resource table or help facilitate a small group of juniors as they process this experience. This event is sponsored by Think Tank. If you would like to volunteer for one or both sessions, please contact Kelli Kinnear. The same day, juniors will also visit local college campuses (either Wright State or University of Dayton). Contact AJ Grimm if you are interested in chaperoning this trip.
