 We love the traditional bracket format for our pool but we're going to shake things up a little bit with our scoring method. We think opening weekend is by far the most exciting and 76% of the games are played in the first 4 days so we've put a little more weight on the early games. This system still gives a nice reward if you correctly pick the champion the majority of the elite 8 but it also gives a better chance to the person who hits correctly on the first rounds.
Round 1: 1 point per correct pick (32 possible)
Round 2: 1.5 points per correct pick (24 possible)
Round 3: 2.25 points per correct pick (18 possible)
Round 4: 3.5 points per correct pick (14 possible)
Round 5: 5 points per correct pick (10 possible)

Check out the tallest Tiresock the ladies have made to date (top photo). This Tiresock fits a very large crane tire - 84 inches tall! Thirty three yards of material and over 10,000 stitches were used in making this behemoth.
