Dear friends,

March winds and a winter that never was seem to be conspiring toward a premature spring.

Ready or not -- seasons have their way with us -- for good and for ill. Metaphorically, and really, however they present, they fix our attention on the beauty and the struggle of life lived in community.

No matter the unpredictability of the season, this community seems to weather seasons well.

In season and out, we've found our way to share the burdens and the blessings of our lives together.

We sleep out when it matters, prevent hunger in our midst, anchor each other's hopes, give flight to each other's dreams, and offer each other the healing balm of simple human friendship day in and day out.

Summer, fall, winter and spring. It's a very good thing.

CALLING ALL PREVENT HUNGER CHAMPIONS

March 1-31 is our annual campaign to fight -- and prevent -- hunger in our community. Although it's hard to see sometimes, daily hunger is very real for many of our neighbors.  What can YOU do to make an impact? Plan a food drive, donate a bag of groceries or make a financial gift. Your gift will also provide family support and employment services for long-term life change.

Fight hunger with dollars

Cash donations  are accepted in person, by mail or  online . If donating by check, please write "Prevent Hunger" on the memo line. Every $1 you donate can be leveraged into $9 worth of food, thanks to community partnerships.

Fight hunger with donations (or plan a food drive)
  • Food shelf donations are accepted Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., at 1605 County Road 101 N in Plymouth. Schedule large donations by calling 763-489-7530.
