THE NEW LAKETOWN TEAM
A Brief Introduction

It's our pleasure to give you a quick introduction of the team at Laketown that is supporting our students, families and teachers at the Laketown campus.  Each of these part-time team members are committed to serving you in their unique roles:

Polly Gerard, Student Life Advisor
Polly's role is to connect with our students and families throughout the year and help build positive relationships.  Additionally, Polly will help lead events like Homecoming, exam week, and community-building moments within the CSH family.

Joy Hemmes, Student Guidance Advisor
Joy's role is to assist our students and families as they move toward graduation and beyond.  Joy will be helping our students coordinate with internships, college visits, and other vocational- and post-high school educational opportunities.  Joy will also lead our testing and evaluations processes, as well as support the CSH Dual Enrollment program.

Lisa Speelman,   Volunteer Coordinator
Lisa's role is to support the function of Laketown's front office by serving students, families and faculty in that building's fast-paced environment. Lisa will also be coordinating volunteers for the Laketown campus.

This team is in place and learning their roles to ensure each student, parent and teacher receives prompt, professional and compassionate services as required.  We're all excited to serve you and we look forward to a great Spring-2016 semester.

"THANK YOU!" To Our Grandparents!

At our Grandparent's Day in the Fall of 2015, we presented a project to all of our guests to purchase new chairs for our Plasman campus.  These new chairs would allow us to host events without needing to rent extra chairs to accommodate the group.   It's with great pleasure that I can announce that our Grandparents responded wonderfully!  With the funds raised, we were able to purchase 130 new chairs!!  These chairs will be a special blessing to our future events.

In addition to funding these new chairs, grandparents also "stepped up" and helped by volunteering for ways to get involved and by providing important things for the various Plasman classrooms like arts and crafts supplies, books, model kits, and other generous gifts.  We are so grateful and our Plasman students continue to enjoy those classroom gifts.  Thank you, Grandparents!

Grandparents! - Don't miss our CSH Book Fair on Friday, March 11at 7:30 AM at Plasman Library. This is an opportunity for breakfast and browsing of the books with your grandchild. Mark your calendars now!

PREPARING FOR 2016-2017

Although it's only early February, plans are in place to get ready for a GREAT school year for next Fall.  Here are a few NEW things that are in the planning process:

NEW SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE!
Two new Calvary Schools scholarships are now available for CSH students.  The "Terry A. Gentry Scholarship" and the "Marissa Kronemeyer Scholarship" will be available to CSH students beginning this coming Fall 2016.  The goal of these scholarships will be to support Calvary students throughout our grades.  The applications for these scholarships will soon be available.  Please watch for more information coming soon!

NEW FOOTBALL CO-OP PROGRAM
We are working with a few local Christian schools to create a football co-op program for our students.  This program will allow CSH students who are interested in playing football to be part of a larger team made up of other Christian schools. They will play competitively against similar teams throughout West Michigan.  Details for this program are still being worked on and our goal is to have this opportunity available to you in the upcoming months.
