10:30 A.M. Service: Watch for the Children, Youth, Family (CYF) Alleluia Procession Sunday
The church has a custom of not speaking or singing the word "Alleluia" during Lent, as well as a tradition of physically burying the word, which is then dug up on Easter. Sunday, CYF will process out of the church with an Alleluia banner. It's disappearance will represent "burying" the word until Easter.

We think this 1987 film is a contemporary classic (and one of the great films on food-our current SL theme). If you have seen it before, come see it again. If not, you are in for a treat! For the potluck, please try to bring sustainably raised food, ready to serve. A discussion will follow the film. Sign-up for this FREE event at the Simpler Living table after the 10:30 service. Dean Rebecca McClain and Deacon Brooks Mason administer ashes on the street
"Ashes-to-Go": Reach Out to the Community
Wednesday, March 1
Are you are interested in being sent into the city with ashes to touch many in affirmation of their spiritual journeys? Ash Wednesday introduces the 40-day solemn season of Lent, a time of reflection, repentance, and resolve. The imposition of ashes on that day is an ancient reminder that "we are dust, and to dust we shall return." Many who don't know about our services or cannot attend on that day would still like to observe it. It has truly been a memorable experience for all who have participated in the past. We will have a sign up table after the services beginning Sunday. INFO: Pat Kreder at Grandykreder@gmail.com.

Easter Flower Donations Welcome
Beginning in Lent, we do not have flowers in the Cathedral. However, donations can be given in honor or memory-or just for giving-for Easter flowers. Starting March 5, look for the Easter donation envelopes.
