You have probably noticed, or have heard your Club members talking about the new renovations to the Club. We are very excited to announce, that after nearly 10 years of operating in our space, we are making some much needed renovations to better serve our local youth.
Changes include:
-A teen lounge being built in our current storage room
-A storage room being built in our current lounge area
-An equipment check-out/cubby area for members' belongings
-Enclosed office space behind our front desk
We wanted to make sure families are aware of the project and that there could be small adjustments to our daily schedule to accommodate our changing spaces. We will be announcing changes through our front desk announcement board and through family emails. Below are just a couple adjustments that are planned right now.
Spring Break Schedule Change
The Club will be hosting a program Monday, March 27th-Wednesday, March 29th at the La Plata County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. Hours will be 8-5:30. Limited spaces are available, so sign up soon to reserve a spot. We will be doing activities in the expo hall, outside (weather permitting) and swimming at the Durango Recreation Center There will be no Club programming the Thursday and Friday of spring break.
Painting
As walls are finished in the renovation, there will be painting going on outside of Club hours. The painters are using low-VOC paints, but there may be some lingering paint smells.

Want to help? The overall cost of this project is budgeted at $100,000. We are currently seeking out the help of our community to help fund these renovations which will allow us to better serve all Club members by giving us more dedicated space to serve our different age groups.
