The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and ambassadors surprised Three Rivers Federal Credit Union, 2030 Commerce Drive, Bluffton, on Thursday, March 2 as the March Member of the Month.

Three Rivers Federal Credit Union have been a part of the community since the early 1990's. Ted Brinneman, Branch Manager, has been with the credit union for over 13 years and was promoted to Branch Manager 15 months ago.

Brinneman stated, "I really enjoy working in the area that I was born and raised. Wells County is a small, close community and it has a strong family feel to it with our members." Brinneman referenced and compared the famous line from
Cheers as "everybody knows your name".

Jeff W. Patterson II named director of development at Forgotten Children Worldwide
Jeff W. Patterson II has been named director of development at Forgotten Children Worldwide (FCW). FCW is a Bluffton-based not-for-profit organization serving the needs of orphans and the fatherless in India, Nepal and countries in Africa.

He has a history of volunteer work with FCW, including service as a regional development representative and on teams that pack clothing to be shipped overseas. He is also a volunteer at Kids's Hope USA through Hope Missionary Church, Bluffton, where he is a member.

"Jeff will be a valuable member of the team," said Matt Hartsell, founder and executive director, FCW. "Jeff will nurture and build relationships with individuals who understand the needs of the fatherless and are willing to act on their heart-felt understanding of that need."

iAB FINANCIAL BANK DONATES $6,300 TO KATE'S KART

iAB Financial Bank recently presented Kate's Kart with a donation in the amount of $6,300. Annually, iAB's Fun Committee determines a non-profit agency to support through employee fund-raisers held throughout the year. Choosing Kate's Kart as their 2016 charitable partner, monthly "Jeans Days" were held in order to raise funds for this donation. On these special days, iAB employees were able to wear jeans to work with a minimum contribution of $3. With the proceeds collected from iAB employees, Kate's Kart will be able to further their goal of providing hospitalized children with a new book to bring them comfort, to foster a love of books, and ultimately literacy, by encouraging children to read and parents to read to their children.

Donations like these to Kate's Kart are just another way that iAB Financial Bank is committed to partnering with communities in order to make a difference. "Our Fun Committee works hard to promote fun at work while fulfilling a need in the community," stated Michael Marhenke, iAB President and CEO. "We are most privileged to do what we can for such a worthwhile organization as Kate's Kart."
