CPI Launches its

CoreComp series with Person-Centered Planning
As NYS systems transformation efforts continue, practitioners often request training and guidance related to  core competencies - knowledge and skills that are essential for most everything that we do.

In response to this need, the Center for Practice Innovations has developed its CoreComp series of training resources.  Each CoreComp resource includes presentations, demonstration videos, and interactive practice scenarios that allow the learner to practice new learning.

We are pleased to announce that CPI has now released the first CoreComp resource, which is available in our learning management system. Person-Centered Planning is a fundamental core competency with high relevance for all.

This resource focuses on:
  • Definition and values of person-centered planning and its importance in recovery
  • Steps in the person-centered planning process and strengths-based planning
  • Components of a person-centered plan, ways to elicit goals, set objectives, and identify resources
