A Patch of Lakeshore Quilters Biennial Quilt Show takes place April 8 and 9 at the Manitowoc County Expo Center, 4921 Expo Dr., Manitowoc. Hours are 9:00am-5:00pm on Saturday; 9:00am-3:00pm on Sunday. $5 per person 17 and older; 16 and under free (with a paid admission). The Quilt Show features food and refreshments, raffle quilt made by Guild members, hundreds of quilts on display, vendors, gift boutique, youth gallery, quilt appraiser Carol Butzke and featured quilt artist Margaret Greicar. Rotary Club of Two Rivers will be hosting its annual dinner/fundraiser on March 26 at The Courthouse Pub. The silent auction begins at 5:00pm, with dinner at 6:00pm followed by an oral auction around 7:00pm. Proceeds from the event will be split between the Neshotah and Mishicot Water Trail and Two Rivers Rotary Foundation. Dinner costs $75/person and include appetizers, dinner and a glass of wine. Auction items include a river cruise with dinner and drinks and a catered "Dinner for Twenty" at the famous Schwartz House.

Rahr-West Art Museum: On Thursday, March 9, 1:00pm, John Abler from Abler Art Glass, Kiel, will present a program at the Rahr-West Art Museum as part of their Art of Conversation series. Lester Public Library: Our Scholar for Life series continues Wednesday at 6:00pm. University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc Professor of Art Berel Lutsky presents "The Oxymoron of the Original Multiple: Prints and Printmaking Explained". He tells us how fine-art printmaking is practiced today, and how it differs from printed reproductions. Our programs next week include Genealogy Club and Adult Coloring on Thursday, March 16, at 10:15am and 1:00pm respectively, and our very special Hour of Code at 2:30pm on Saturday, March 18. This is the third session in our computer coding series, but you need not have attended the first two to join in. Hour of Code attendees thus far have ranged in age from eight to their 80s! Women in Management Inc.-Manitowoc Chapter: A Women in Management scholarship will be awarded at our May chapter meeting. This annual scholarship is available to a female student aspiring to a post-secondary professional, managerial, or entrepreneurial career. Applicants must have completed at least their first year of college with the intention of obtaining a degree. Preference is given to applicants attending college in Manitowoc County, but those who reside in Manitowoc County, or who have graduated from a Manitowoc County high school are considered. Financial need, academic performance, community and extracurricular involvement are also considered. Applications can be requested in electronic version by emailing ajuza@manitowoc.org.
