Back To Basics Partner With District Schools To Provide School Uniforms For Students
Back To Basics is an unbelievable business partner, not just to Crosspointe Elementary School but to many other Palm Beach County schools. Beverly Perham shows her love to nearly 6,000 plus needy children in over 35 Palm Beach County schools by providing them with school uniforms at the beginning of the school year. She also ensured that 150 Crosspointe Elementary students received a pair of sneakers, socks, undergarments, and a small toy for the holidays. Talk about a big heart!

Little Caesars of Boynton Beach Provides Resources To Support After- School Programs At Galaxy Elementary School As A Partner In Education
Little Caesars of Boynton Beach has been a long-standing Business Partner with Galaxy Elementary. The owner Steven Beson is a very involved member in the local community as well as many schools.
He understands the impact local businesses can have on schools. Mr. Beson not only is a business partner but he is also a member of our School Advisory Council and PTO.
He has donated his time and pizza to supporting SAC meetings, Saturday Extended Learning Programs and special events such as dances and after- school programs at Galaxy Elementary.

Braman MotorCars Executives Visit Park Vista High School To Develop Strategic Partnership For Student Career Path
Park Vista High School recently hosted a visit from executives at Braman Motorcars and specifically their Director of Service Chris Huffman, BMW/MINI Service Manager Rod Ortega and Human Resources Manager Kristine Dinges. The topic of the day was brainstorming ways to get Braman Motorcars involved in education; both at the instructor and student level.
During the visit, the group toured the automotive vocational facilities and observed students in action, learning both mechanical and body work processes. "I was very impressed with the facility," stated Chris Huffman. "I had no idea that the vocational program was this expansive and the shops so large and well equipped. This is something we can definitely target our resources towards."

It took a little bit of time for the shock to wear off and the tears to set in, but eventually Dr. Evangeline Aguirre realized that she is indeed the School District of Palm Beach County’s Teacher of the Year, and tissues became a necessity.
Dr. Avossa, School Board members Chuck Shaw and Marcia Andrews, District leaders, co-workers, students and her husband gathered in the media center of Palm Beach Central High School Tuesday morning to pull off the surprise.
Dr. Aguirre is an ESOL Intensive Reading and English Teacher at Palm Beach Central High School, where she has been for the past nine years.

Celebrating CTE Month 2017 in Palm Beach County
Career and Technical Education, or CTE, is education that directly prepares students for high-wage, high-demand careers. CTE covers many different fields, including health care, information technology, advanced manufacturing, hospitality and management, public service, and many more. For many years, the month of February has been designated by the Association for Career & Technical Education as National CTE Month.
The Department of Choice & Career Options kicked off its 2017 CTE Month activities with the presentation of the CTE Month Proclamation during the annual presentation and recognition of the middle and high school CTE Students of the Year Awards at a School Board meeting. Learn more
