Join us this Sunday for another exciting morning of Rev Wendy's Sabbatical Journey. We look forward to greeting you at our usual time as we continue to embark on an exciting array of Sunday Morning Speakers. 

Join us this Sunday to welcome the wonderful UUCM Minister Emeritus Reverend Charles Wilson into the pulpit. Rev. Wilson will be offering  morning message titled "Different Visions of Liberty".

"Today our greatest danger as a people and as persons is from a failure of faith. This means losing our grounding in a religious vision of the meaning of life and the destiny of humanity. I contrast two visions of liberty from two Unitarian Universalists-- Ralph Waldo Emerson and Carl Sandburg. Religious liberty is the most important foundation of our Unitarian Universalist faith, and of the United States of America. I hope we will learn important lessons from these prophetic figures in our past that we can employ in our shaky present and uncertain future." 

Reverend Charles Wilson, our Minister Emeritus. 
 
When Rev. Wilson finished college, he came to Boston to work for Gillette.  He joined the Hingham Unitarian Church and his experiences there led him to enter the Harvard School of Divinity School.

Charles began his career as an interim minister.  In 1982, he came to UUCM  after the departure of Reverend Schreyer.  He was called to become our settled minister in 1990, and remained until he retired in 1998.

During his time, he set in motion the Memorial Garden, and many programs that are reflected in UUCM today. 

In June of 2003, the UUCM congregation elected him a Minister Emeritus.
