DELIGHT in the beauty of nature and
join us as we welcome new local jewelry designer, Kate Jones, to our indigenous family of artists with a special Trunk Show!

Kate will present a Trunk Show of her latest & greatest works on Saturday, March 11th from 12 to 5. Meet the artist and enjoy perusing her entire spring selection of intricately wire-wrapped jewelry from her Wired Bohemian collection. Kate will be featured in the March issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine that will include a profile about Kate, her work, and her determination and need to find success as a working artist.

Jewelry artist, painter, writer and amateur philosopher, Kate Jones, is an Ohio native and a 2008 graduate of The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago (Cincinnati branch,) where she studied graphic design. She briefly continued her studies at The Art Academy before deciding to pursue a freelance career as a designer. Through a series of life events, Kate's creative path eventually led her to the world of handcrafted jewelry. Not one to wear it often herself, Kate's passion for creating "wearable sculptures" surprised even her. Kate also enjoys coffee, British television, art deco and art nouveau, coffee, her pets, spending time on her small homestead, coffee, exploring urban landscapes, and coffee.

EMBRACE the creativity of our newest artist ~ Meghan Yarnell is due to make her first delivery from Perrysburg, Ohio this weekend! Find her lovely porcelain functional pottery with inspired imagery in orchid, sky blue and leaf colored glazes.

"I am inspired by the beauty and uniqueness that can be found only in the natural world. From the delicate shell of a Chinese lantern plant to the slow spiral fall of a maple seed pod, nature is amazing, intriguing, and inimitable.

I am disheartened by the increasing encroachment of humans on nature. Our interactions with the natural world are quickly becoming more and more intrusive and irreversible. In a culture that values quantity (or profit) over quality, green lawns over clean water, and convenience over sustainability, I find myself drawn more and more to the intricacies of the natural world.
I hope to subtly convey the contrast and collision between humans and the natural world by combining images of nature with patterns inspired by suburban sprawl, topography, and technology. I create functional pottery because I love the idea that art can be both beautiful and useful. I like to think that my work is subtlety infused with enough meaning to inspire thought while it is being used.
I have adored art my entire life. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 3D studies (ceramics focus). I currently teach art at a Jr. High school. I'm happily married and have a son, daughter, golden doodle, and cat. I love to garden, run, read, and drink wine."
