Monthly Happy Hour
CLR March Happy Hour

Serve The Rock
@ Dickey-Stephens Park

North Little Rock

Thursday, March 16th
5:00 - 7:00 pm
For this month's CLR Happy Hour, we're offering free admission to our Serve the Rock event which includes complimentary beer, wine, and great food!  Click and print the ticket below or just show this email at the door on your phone.

We'll have a designated CLR Happy Hour area to the far left side of the concourse.  Look for the CLR sign.
Serve the Rock is Create Little Rock's annual event that provides area nonprofits the opportunity to tell their story in a social setting.  Each nonprofit sets up a booth, and attendees can wander from booth to booth learning about the nonprofits.  Think of it as a job fair for volunteerism with beer, wine, and food included in the $5 ticket price. (CLR members get in free with this email.)  It's a great way to get plugged in to the community.  Last year we had over 70 nonprofits participating and around 500 attendees!
Serve the Rock: Volunteers Needed
Volunteers Needed!

CLICK HERE  to sign up for a shift.

Putting on this event takes a lot of effort, and having CLR members volunteer to serve beer and help with setup and take-down is critical!  CLICK HERE to sign up as a volunteer.  In addition to the free entry that all CLR members receive, you'll also be allowed to get 2 guests in for free.

We'll need help in 3 shifts:

3:00-4:30pm
Setup and directing the nonprofits to their designate spots.

4:30-6:00pm
Serving beer/wine, taking tickets, checking IDs, etc.

6:00-7:30pm
An hour of those same needs of the 4:30 shift then a half hour of helping with the take-down.

Right now, spots in all shifts are open, though the hardest to fill each year is the early shift.  Any shift that fits your schedule is definitely appreciated!

Think Big Little Rock Update

As Think Big Little Rock, Create Little Rock's year-long visioning initiative, nears the halfway point, we wanted to begin highlighting some of the people involved in the effort. We'll start off with a couple of our Tack Force Chairs:

Meet Phillip Butterfield, Financial Consultant a t Stephens Inc. and Chairman of our Economic Development Task Force.

What Think Big Little Rock means to him:

"Hard work and community involvement go hand in hand to trigger economic growth and the lifestyles we enjoy. Think Big Little Rock provides the catalyst for continued development of the Little Rock metro area for this generation and generations to come."

Rachel Norris is an science teacher at Central High School in Little Rock. She heads up our Education Task Force. She keeps us organized and up-to speed on the many challenges and opportunities our community is currently facing.

Rachel says, "Think Big Little Rock has given me the opportunity to be a change agent and work with other passionate individuals who hope to be part of a positive and equitable community. I believe that at the end of this process we will have implemented a plan to build a stronger community."
