In Preparation...
In preparation for the Myrtle Beach Marathon, members of the Grand Strand Running Club joined forces with the Red Cross Rescue Racers on Saturday, February 11, 2017 to run a mock full and half marathon. The runners and walkers who participated ran up to 13 miles for the hald and up to 22 miles for the full, on the sidewalks and actual marathon course. Food, fuel and encouragement were provided every 2 miles. Thank you to all who participated.

Join Indigo Therapy Specialists at our North Myrtle Beach location for delicious eats, beer, wine, and awesome door prizes!
Their Physical Therapists, who specialize in Orthopedic and Sports Medicine, will be there to discuss common injuries that runners see post-race - how to distinguish what you should and should not run through, how we can treat/prevent those injuries, and the importance of getting an injury screen pre-race.
Indigo Therapy Specialists will also be featuring ASTYM demonstrations from our certified clinicians the regenerative medicine of therapy that treats overuse injuries commonly seen by athletes. It gets you better faster so you dont have to sit out on a big race!
Come on out and hang with the Indigo Therapy crew!

Rape Aggression Defense
The North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety in partnership with the Grand Strand Running Club offered a free Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) class this Saturday February 18, 2017. The class was taught by Officer Mike Frye and LCPL William McLeod. It was extremely educational and informative and provided valuable information on how to keep our members safe. News coverage of the event aired on that evening's 6 pm and 11 pms broadcast of WBTW and WPDE news station. The Department will be holding another class in April for Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
