NEW JERSEY: MUSICAL THEATRE WRITING EVENT

Join us for the first-ever NJ Musical Theatre Composer/Lyricist/Librettist Exchange.

At 5pm, we'll start off with a panel discussion with professional composers, lyricists, and librettists to share their experiences in writing for musical theatre. (Current panelists include Mindi Dickstein (lyricist  Little Women  (Broadway),  Toy Story: The Musical ),  Adam Gwon (composer/lyricist  Ordinary Days Cake Off The Boy Detective Fails ), and others TBA.)

After the panel, you'll have a chance to meet other librettists, composers, and lyricists to find a potential writing partner (or partners). Be prepared to talk about a project you're working on, are interested in working on, or simply what kind of writer you are. Depending on numbers attending, we may do a "speed-dating" model, or just offer time to chat and connect.

Then, please stay for 4th Wall Theatre's New Jersey Musical Theatre Composers Showcase presenting some of the state's best and brightest new Musical Theatre composers. Their songs, both stand-alone pieces and songs from their complete musicals, will be performed by instrumentalists and singers from Broadway and from the 4th Wall family. Best of all, you will get to hear a couple of new musical "pitches," in which composing teams will present a segment of one of their latest new works-in-progress, and you will get to be among the first audiences to respond with your feedback!
