    GLIDE

For more than 40 years, JVS (Jewish Vocational Service) has strengthened our Bay Area community by helping Bay Area job seekers to build in-demand skills and confidence, make connections and secure work within a career pathway.

JVS Mission: JVS transforms lives by helping people build skills and find jobs to achieve self-sufficiency.

Claudia Gey , Director of Financial Services Programs, JVS, oversees BankWork$, an 8-week training that connects motivated job seekers with the skills needed to become exceptional candidates for retail banking positions. Claudia has a Master's Degree in Educational Sciences from the Technical University of Berlin (Germany) and 15 years of experience in public diplomacy designing and leading cultural immersion programs for international youth. Claudia is passionate about lifelong learning, equity and inclusion, working together to make the world a better place for everyone and having fun in the process. Claudia will provide an overview of the BankWork$ program, a free career training program at JVS that prepares job seekers from diverse backgrounds and often underserved communities, for lasting careers in the financial services industry.

Kari Gray, Outreach Manager, JVS, manages participant outreach and engagement for all JVS programs and services. She works with government, nonprofit and other workforce and community-development organizations and allies to identify successful candidates for Healthcare, Financial Services and Technology Career Pathways Programs and the Job Search Accelerator. Kari is active in education, arts and advocacy organizations and is on the Board of the Second District PTA, Intersection for the Arts and the San Francisco Pubic Press. Kari will provide an overview of JVS services and programs.
