Jim Clemens Joins Windmill Marina
as General Manager
Joe Riley, CMM, Retires After 42 Years
of Service to the Marina

The Board of Directors of Windmill Marina Association is pleased to announce the employment of Jim Clemens as Marina General Manager. Effective April 3rd 2017, Jim will oversee all day-to-day operations of Windmill Marina. He succeeds Joe Riley, who started at the marina in 1975 under the guidance of Bill Skluzacek and has served as Vice President & General Manager for more than 34 years.

"Joe built Windmill Marina from a small family run business into what it is today - one of the finest marinas on the St. Croix River and a cornerstone of the Afton community," said Ted Zinner, president of the Board of Directors for Windmill Marina Association. "As Joe begins a new chapter of his life, we are excited to welcome Jim and his wife, Tammy, to the Windmill Marina Family. We feel that Jim is an excellent addition to our
staff."

Prior to joining Windmill Marina, Jim served as Port Manager in Gold Beach Oregon. His duties included manager of the marina and the Gold Beach Airport. Jim is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Master Chief Boatswain Mate. During his 30-year career he was in command of four Coast Guard stations.

Jim is an avid outdoorsman and a Life Member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He and his wife, Tammy, are looking forward to taking up residence in the Hudson area. Their daughter, Holly, recently graduated from Colorado State and lives with her husband in Owatonna, Minn.

If you are at the Marina, we invite you to stop in at the Ship's Store to meet Jim, or be sure to come to the Spring Launch Party in mid-May.
