Greetings from the west coast! This week, the
presents Trisha Brown: In Plain Site at The BroadGetty CenterLos Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), and  Hauser Wirth & Schimmel.

After returning to New York City, the Company heads upstate to perform in Dance Off The Grid at the Emelin Theater on May 12. Just a few days later, we gather again in New York City to honor filmmaker and photographer Babette Mangolte at our Penthouse Gala on  Monday, May 15.

Another significant partner to the Company, Jacob's Pillow Dance, marks its 85th Anniversary this summer. August 16-19, join us at The Pillow for performances of Trisha Brown: In Plain Site, L'Amour au théâtre (2009), Groove and Countermove (2000), and Opal Loop / Cloud Installation #72503 (1980), featuring TBDC alumni.

As Spring unfolds, students throughout the country will blossom in Trisha Brown's work. Later this month,  New York University Tisch School of the Arts' graduating class of BFA and MFA students performs Set and Reset/Reset, directed by Diane Madden, March 30-April 2.

April 21-23, students at Bard College perform Foray Forêt, directed by Tara Lorenzen, and SUNY Purchase Dance Company performs Glacial Decoy, directed by Diane Madden with Leah Morrison, which the student company will present again at New York Live Arts, May 24-27.  

TBDC also performs Trisha Brown: In Plain Site  at  Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC, April 20-21, and at Coker College in Hartsville, SC, April 25.

Mark your calendars for the Company's Penthouse Gala on Monday, May 15 at Neuehouse Madison Square. We are pleased to honor acclaimed filmmaker and photographer Babette Mangolte and unveil recently restored footage from Mangolte's 1973 three-camera filming of Trisha Brown's timeless work  Roof Piece.

The Company frequently presents Roof Piece as part of its Trisha Brown: In Plain Site touring program. Enjoy this excerpt of Roof Piece, performed by TBDC at Northwestern University Arts Circle, and filmed by the university using drones.

TBDC holds ongoing classes at Gibney Dance on Saturday mornings from 10:00am-12:00pm throughout the spring season. Visit the Gibney Dance class schedule here.
Leah Ives holds a BFA in Dance and minor in Movement Science from the University of Michigan. Leah has since collaborated and performed with The A.O. Movement Collective/Sarah A.O. Rosner, Avodah Dance Ensemble, Elizabeth Dishman, Median Dance/Alex Springer and Xan Burley, the Leopold Group, and the Peter Sparling Dance Company. Leah is honored to be a part of the Trisha Brown Dance Company. In addition to dancing, Leah is also a NY State Licensed Massage Therapist.
Mariah Maloney  performed, lectured and taught as a featured soloist and ensemble dancer with the Trisha Brown Dance Company from 1995-2002, creating original roles in Trisha Brown's Music cycle including works:  Twelve Ton Rose, L'Orfeo, Canto Pianto, Five Part Weather Invention, Rapture to Leon James, and  Groove and Countermove  as well performing the legendary works:  Set and Reset, Newark, Astral Converted and  For M.G.: The Movie , among others. Today she continues her relationship with TBDC by serving as an international guest artist and directing restaging projects. The Columbia College Chicago Dance Center premiered Mariah's re-staging of Set and Reset/Reset. Mariah creates solo and group work from the sensing body accessing movement scores and choreography through improvisation. Her company is presented in the United States, South America, Canada, Europe and Asia. In New York Mariah Maloney Dance is produced at La MaMa; The Kitchen; Dance New Amsterdam; Judson Church; Danspace Project; Brooklyn Museum of Art. Recent international engagements include Theatre Academie Helsinki, Helsinki Finland; Danza Teatro, Santiago, Chile; DanceHouse Dance Ireland, Dublin, Ireland. Mariah Maloney Dance recently presented an evening of work at the Jacob's Pillow Inside/Out International Dance Festival and The Rochester Fringe Festival. Maloney earned a BFA from Purchase College and an MFA from Hollins/ADF.  mariahmaloneydance.com

TBDC celebrates the 85th Anniversary of Jacob's Pillow Dance! We are thrilled to mark the occasion with performances of   L'Amour au théâtre (2009), Groove and Countermove (2000), and Opal Loop / Cloud Installation #72503 (1980), featuring TBDC alumni.
