Summer Camp Registration is Now Open

The Challenger Learning Center of Colorado runs camps throughout the summer.  Our STEM focused camps are designed to educate and excite K-12 students.  Challenger has plenty of new camp offerings for 2017.  'Early Bird' pricing ends May 1st!


Entering Grades 1 - 2
Martian Explorers (New for 2017)
Young future astronauts will discover Mars, the mysterious Red Planet.  Learn about the spacecraft that will travel to Mars and what it will take to live and work on the surface.

Entering Grades 3 - 4
We Do Robotics! (New for 2017)
Using the new LEGO® WeDo 2.0 kits, kids will study the basics behind robotics using LEGOs!

Entering Grades 4 - 6
Rocket Science (New for 2017)
Explore the science behind rockets by building and launching multiple Estes rockets! 
 
Operation: Space (New for 2017)
Future scientists will explore our Milky Way and learn what it is like to be an astronaut.

Entering Grades 5 - 7
Mindstorm Robotics
Campers will use LEGO® Mindstorms to create and design various robots. They will program the robots to clean up trash, navigate a maze, and even sumo-wrestle!

Entering Grades 6 - 8
Destination Mars (New for 2017)
Destination...Mars! Discover what it will take to plan and launch future missions to the red planet. Campers will participate in a Challenger simulated space mission to Mars.

Code Like a Champ
Learn the basics of 
Learn the basics of computer programming and digital art by looking a  wide variety of apps such as Lightbot, Hopscotch, iLogo, Scratch and Codea.

Entering Grades 8 - 12
Aquabotics:
Design and construct your own SeaPerch robot! Operate drills, soldering irons, and other tools while learning about circuits and switching to build an underwater rover.  The camp culminates in an underwater activity what will challenge these future scientists and engineers to problem solve and navigate obstacles.

April 1 - Registration Opens for Teacher Bootcamp!

STEM Bootcamp offers some of the best project-based teacher professional development in the U.S.. Over three days, K-12 educators gather at the Air Force Academy to learn effective ways to engage their students in hands-on, exciting STEM topics.

This year Bootcamp will take place on July 18th - 20th. Registration fills up quickly.  Last year, all elementary educator slots were sold out in less than a week.

More details concerning STEM Bootcamp will follow soon.  We will send them out as soon as they are available.
