UPSTATE REGIONAL FORUM - APRIL 27TH
BUILDING GLOBAL FLUENCY IN THE UPSTATE
Ten at the Top and the Upstate International Center will be co-hosting an Upstate Regional Forum focused on Building Global Fluency in the Upstate on April 27th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. (reception to follow) at the BMW Zentrum.

The forum will look at the Global Economy in the Upstate and how the region is developing a culture that embraces Global Fluency. The keynote speaker for the forum will be Brad Gosche, Senior Director of the Global Fluency Institute in Columbus, Ohio. He will be joined in a panel discussion by Upstate leaders who will share their first hand experience in international business and the do's and don'ts that come through years of experience at the top of their fields.

Prior to the forum, Gosche will be holding a four-hour Global Fluency Training Workshop that is limited to only 25 participants. THE PIQUE 2017 - MARCH 23RD
EXCITING PROGRAM PLANNED FOR YOUNG LEADERS SUMMIT
As many as 300 young professionals (ages 21-39) are expected to gather at Wofford College on March 23rd for the second annual PIQUE: Young Leaders Elevating the Upstate Summit.

The event was created to provide an opportunity for young professionals from across the region to come together for networking, professional development, and discussions on how they can make an impact individually and collectively across the Upstate.

The program includes a number of workshops as well as an opportunity to engage with business and community leaders from across the Upstate.

The event is limited to 300 young professional participants and tickets have been going quickly, so be sure and register today. The program will run from 1:15 until 5 p.m. with a networking reception to follow.

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS BUS TOUR HEADING TO ANDERSON ON MARCH 28TH  
Join Ten at the Top as  The Upstate Bus Tour... Getting to Know Your Neighbors makes our next stop in Anderson County on March 28th.

A full day in Anderson will start with an economic development update and tour of the Walgreens Distribution Center that has received national recognition for utilizing employees who have some level of a disability or special need. We will also get an update on community health initiatives from AnMed Health. Education is an important topic in Anderson and we will tour Anderson University, as well as the Industrial Technology Center of Tri-County Technical College. Lunch will be held at the Anderson Arts Center and also include a walking tour of downtown Anderson. Other planned excursions are to the Green Pond, Research Park/Advanced Material Center and the Woodburn SC Agriculture Museum.

The bus will leave for Anderson from the Ten at The Top Offices at 8:30 am and return at approximately 5:00 pm. An additional stop will be made to pick up/drop off participants at the WalMart Super Center off Highway 153 in Powdersville.

TATT HOSTING SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT STAFF
WORKSHOP SERIES - FIRST SESSION MARCH 14TH
The Ten at the Top Economic & Entrepreneurial Vitality Task Force is starting a new workshop series in 2017 designed to connect and support organizations that provide services to entrepreneurs and small businesses.

This new series is intended to provide entrepreneur support professionals (anyone in an official position that a small or start-up business person asks for help) preliminary assessment skills so they can more quickly and effectively diagnose the issues and send the business owner to the appropriate resource for help. The first session is scheduled for March 14th from 11:30am-1:30pm (lunch is provided).

UPSTATE ELECTED OFFICIALS MEETING AT
GSP INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON APRIL 6TH 
GSP logo Since 2010, Upstate partner organizations have hosted regular meetings of city, county, and state elected leaders from across the Upstate. The first Upstate Elected Officials Meeting of 2017 will be held on April 6th from 2:30-4 pm (reception to follow) at the GSP International Airport.

There is no argument that the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport makes a huge impact to the economic vitality and quality of life of the Upstate, but how do they do it?

Join other elected officials to learn about the airport and its impact on the Upstate, followed by a tour of the airport including recent renovations. Then stick around for a networking reception and get to know other elected officials from across the Upstate. Special thanks to the Upstate SC Alliance for serving as the event sponsor.
