USSOCOM Seeking Field Operations Solutions from Pinellas Businesses,

Does your company have a product or service that could help the efforts of USSOCOM? The USSOCOM Office of Small Business is seeking local businesses with new technologies or solutions to assist their warfighters in the field. Four one-hour time slots are available with Chris Harrington, Director of Small Business Programs at USSCOM, on March 22, between 12:30p - 4:30p.  Please be prepared to demonstrate your product or to concisely communicate the advantages. This appointment will assist you in the process of learning how to conduct business with USSOCOM.

Commission Seeks Input on
Penny for Pinellas
Since it was first approved by voters, the Penny for Pinellas has helped to build a better Pinellas by supporting projects aimed at areas that matter most to our citizens. Before the referendum vote on Nov.7, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners is seeking citizen input on the most important areas to invest future  funds across  the community.  Citizens are invited to attend an open house to share their priorities for Penny funding.

May 23: Automated Export System (AES) Compliance Seminar
 
This seminar will bring together experts from the U.S. Department of Commerce to provide training on export filing requirements.  

Who should attend?  All those involved in the export process, such as: manufacturers and suppliers, export compliance managers, freight forwarders, exporting carriers, consolidators, U.S. customs brokers, and compliance software providers.

Pinellas County Economic Development (PCED) Council is Accepting Applications from Target Industry Executives and Entrepreneurs
 
Members of the PCED Council serve as a resource to advise, develop and implement strategies and programs to stimulate economic expansion, trade and investment for the benefit of the citizens of Pinellas. Our members are owners of businesses, CEOs, presidents, and other senior executives who have management or policy responsibility and have demonstrated dynamic and ongoing leadership in building the economy of Pinellas County.  Members are appointed from both large employers and small businesses in Pinellas target industries: advanced manufacturing; aviation & aerospace; business & financial services; information technology; and, life sciences & medical technologies.  The Pinellas Board of County Commissioners appoints members to the PCED Council for terms of two years.  If you meet the qualifications outlined above, have time available for quarterly breakfast meetings and would like to be considered for an appointment to PCED's Council, please visit http://www.pced.org/council  to learn more.
