Two Little Girls Needed Security

Jordan and Josie, four and two, were too young to know the reason their mother slept on the couch all day was that she was drunk.  Or that the empty cans littering the floor of their home held beer. Or that their father was in prison.  They weren't too young, however, to know their CASA volunteer, Marie, cared about them.

Scott Murphy Goes the Extra MIle

Dallas CASA received a letter of thanks about volunteer Scott Murphy recently. While we knew Scott was a fantastic advocate, we loved hearing it from someone else. Scott has served as a powerful health advocate for the children he's served, regularly attending medical appointments. Read more about Scott on Dallas CASA's blog.
Casey Gerald Speaks at
Cherish the Children luncheon

Dallas CASA's Cherish the Children luncheon speaker's story starts in Oak Cliff, travels through a chaotic childhood, all the way to Yale and Harvard and onto a TED talk now viewed more than one million times. For Dallas native Casey Gerald, the secret to his success is simple - it's the people who surrounded him, the teachers who nurtured him and the coaches who pushed him. Read more about Gerald on Dallas CASA's blog.
This year's luncheon is chaired by Shonn Brown and will honor the National Council of Jewish Women Greater Dallas Section. Tickets are still available.
CASAblanca  Benefits Dallas CASA

Were you at Dallas CASA Young Professionals' second CASAblanca party last month? The sold-out crowd danced the night away to The Special Edition Band at Level Two in the design district and raised $25,000 for Dallas CASA in the process. We're so grateful to  members of our Young Professionals group, a vibrant and growing base of support for our agency, for planning and executing such a great event. Read more at My Sweet Charity.
