William D. Earley 1938 - 2017 

William David Earley was born to William R. and Minnie L. Earley on August 16, 1938, in Wadsworth, Ohio.   He passed peacefully on January 6, 2017.
 
William (Bill) was an avid music lover, with his favorite being classic jazz.   He enjoyed working with an online streaming service and creating jazz music playlists.   He also provided vocal introductions for musical selections.   In his younger years, he often played tennis and racquetball.   During his later years, he enjoyed bicycle riding for miles, especially along the C&O Canal.
 
Bill was the proud supporter of the nonprofit organization, The Menare Foundation, which is dedicated to the preservation of the Underground Railroad history.   In addition, he was also a longtime supporter of local Montgomery County politics, serving as a member of the Upcounty Action group.   Bill would also volunteer his time as a Docent for the Oakley Cabin Aftrican Museum and Park.
 
Bill was a dedicated husband and father.   He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Minnie L. Earley and brother, Robert Earley.   Bill leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, JoJean;  son, Aaron (Patricia); daughter, Tracey Earley Davis (Roger);  grandchildren, Addison and Solomon Earley;  brother, Richard Earley (Waverly);  nephew, Christopher Earley (Maria);  niece, Kathryn Earley Byrd (Angelo);  and a host of loving family members and friends.
 
A memorial to celebrate his life was held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 1:00 p.m., at the Casey Community Center, 810 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877.
