The Museum is thrilled to be a finalist in the 2017 Governor's Arts Awards! The Awards, presented annually by Arizona Citizens for the Arts, recognize artists, arts organizations, businesses, educators and individuals for their passion, creativity and devotion to the excellence and diversity of Arizona's arts and cultural community.
We are honored to be nominated in the Arts in Education (Organization) category alongside the Children's Museum of Phoenix and the Osborne School District. This award recognizes a nonprofit arts organization or a school that has demonstrated significant support for or participation in activities fostering excellence in, appreciation of, or access to arts education in the State of Arizona. We are especially proud that this nomination calls out the accomplishments of our youth and family programming as well as the
Our Stories program, which brings together the Museum and community organizations to produce exhibitions featuring voices not always represented in a museum setting.
