SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Brandon Rodriguez

What do you want to study in college?  How did you become passionate about it?
I want to study business management. I've always liked to sell things. After graduating from college, I hope to open my own business.

What has been the most helpful part about being in the CollegeTracks family?
The most helpful part is the dedication to each student. CollegeTracks always sends me constant reminders to complete tasks and if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be applying to so many colleges.

What advice do you have for juniors who are beginning their college application journeys?
NEVER wait until the last minute and never be afraid to ask for help. Always stay on top of your deadlines and if you haven't done so, download a calendar app. It's very helpful.
JUNIOR SPOTLIGHT

Royal Safo

You visited the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Salisbury University.  What did you think?
They were amazing places!  Those were my first college visits. Now, I can visualize college every time I work through my process.

What have you done, so far, to prepare for your college application process?
I am preparing for the ACT.  CollegeTracks has helped me determine my career path and how to pursue it in college.

What are you thinking about studying in college?
I am thinking about studying marine biology or astronomy.  And I definitely want to minor in theater.
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

Donna Lewis

What degree did you earn?  From which college?
Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps)!

What would be the first thing you'd buy if you hit the lottery?
I would not buy anything.  I would use the money to make the world a better place.

What is your dream job?
My dream job was helping my two kids focus on their goals before college to help them get into the universities of their choice.  This led to my passion for and involvement in CollegeTracks.

COLLEGE OPEN HOUSES

Visiting college campuses is one of the best ways to make decisions about your future.  Often, websites are not enough to demonstrate what a college has to offer.

CollegeTracks recommends you attend open houses at college campuses.  Open houses provide prospective students and their families the opportunity to tour campuses, meet college staff members, learn about on-campus opportunities, and see colleges up close and in person.

Click here to view a list of colleges that are offering open houses in the area.  Remember to call ahead to schedule the day and time of your visit.

Let CollegeTracks know which
open houses you're attending!
