Data shows we ranked fifth in new customer satisfaction survey
In a recent syndicated national study of business electric customers, we ranked fifth out of 88 utilities in overall customer satisfaction.
The study measured satisfaction with Power Quality and Reliability, Corporate Citizenship, Price, Billing and Payment, Communications and Customer Service.
We received the highest score in the industry in Power Quality and Reliability. Among midsize electric providers in the West, we ranked first in Billing and Payment and Customer Service and second in Communications and customer perception of Price. In the past six months, 45 percent of our business customers reported perfect power.
Data show business customers who are familiar with our programs, have signed up for alerts, and recall communications from us are much more satisfied. Familiarize yourself with options available to you at csu.org. Though we scored well in this survey, we strive to improve and better service to all our customers.
Partnering with customers in backflow prevention efforts
John Fort, left, and Craig Olson, right, from UCCS, and Jennifer Britt from El Paso County, examine a backflow prevention device at a meeting Feb. 17.
Over the last several months, we've collaborated with many of our commercial customers to help protect our community's drinking water from pollutants. One source of pollutants is backflow--when the flow of water to a factory, restaurant, car wash or other business reverses direction and sends water that may contain chemicals, fire retardant or other contaminants into our water distribution system.
Our partners in the protection against backflow are licensed plumbers, fire suppression system professionals and certified backflow testers. We met with more than 90 of them in February to discuss best practices and ways we could all work together to comply with state and local regulations
.
