Joseph R. Agostinelli '97 - lives in Naperville with his  wife, Julie , and their son, AJ who was born this past December.  Joe earned his Undergraduate degree, Master's degree, and Clinical Doctorate from St. Louis University.  He is a licensed physical therapist who is the director of the Glen Ellyn facility of the DuPage Medical Group, overseeing a staff of twenty.
 
Mike White '99 - graduated from Purdue with a Political Science degree.  He is currently Vice-President of Sales for Nostrum Laboratories, a generic pharmaceutical company based in New Jersey.  He had his wife, Laura, make their home in Glen Ellyn with their sons Will (3) and John (2). Another child is on the way in September.  From 2008-2015, Mike also assisted Tommy Walter in coaching Saints Peter and Paul's eighth grade boys' basketball team.

Kate Agostinelli Sheets' 99 - is a graduate of the University of San Diego and UCLA Law School.  At San Diego she was class valedictorian as she earned two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Accountancy.   She holds a JD from UCLA Law School and is a member of the California Board.  Kate and her husband, Tim, live in Toluca Lake, CA near Los Angeles.  She is employed by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) as senior legal counsel.  AEG is one of the largest sporting and entertainment presenters in the world producing events such as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and operating entertainment venues including the Staples Center (LA), T-Mobile Arena (Las Vegas), Barclays Center (Brooklyn) and Mercedes-Benz (Berlin). 
 
Denise Dougherty Hoover '01 - was a psychology major at Aurora University where she received her undergraduate degree.  She also has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology which she earned at Benedictine University (Lisle).  Denise is licensed in the state of Illinois as a mental health counselor specializing in eating disorders and self-injurers.  She has worked at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital as their mental health counselor and at Ambria College of Nursing as student services coordinator.  Denise and her husband, Matthew, make their home in Cambridge Lakes in Pingree Grove, IL.  Currently she is going back to school to study hospital management and event planning.
 
Dr. Patrick Whelan '02 - graduated from the University of Illinois as a chemical engineering major.  He is in his third year of a five-year term as a Urology Resident at Rush Medical Center.

Tim Whelan '05 - attended the University of Notre Dame from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics.  He lives and works in Chicago where he is a Chartered Financial Analyst for a Blackstone company, Shopcorp.  He and his fiancĂ©, Erica Miller, will be married this spring at the Basilica on the Notre Dame campus.
 
Mary Kate Whelan '08 - matriculated to the University of Notre Dame from which she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History last spring with a supplemental Pre-Professional Studies (Pre-Med) major.  This summer she will enroll in Northwestern University to begin studying for a Physician Assistant Degree.                  

Chris Whelan '10 - is a starting infielder for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes' baseball team.  In August, the Hawkeyes will be representing the USA at the World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan.

When our school was founded in 1853...

...our students did not recite the Pledge of Allegiance each morning as that oath was not written until August,1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931).  Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.

In its original form it read:
    "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
