Message from Dr. Rose Mary Shaw,
Director of the Mindfully Well Center
Welcome
Looking to the Horizon for future Retreats
Welcome back to all of our readers! The blustery winter greeted me as I disembarked at the airport from my trip to Costa Rica. This brusk re-entry convinced me that setting up future retreats in a warm climate will certainly help ease some of the Winter Blues in Ohio.  My trip was one of exploration as I toured seascapes, mountain resorts and the sacred Rain Forest and Volcanoes. I have located ideal spots for our community to experience. I will take the next few months to lay out the details of our future ventures. Here are the 3 target groups as they currently stand:

Women Warrior Empowerment
This getaway is for women longing to empower their Spirit, while reinvigorating their Body and Mind. We will grow together in our loving accepting community  through Warrior Mask making, drumming circles, yoga postures, community meals and some land & surf adventures.

Building Authentic Loving Relationships
This c ouples retreat is aimed at invigorating and deepening your commitments and further exploring the components of loving healthy relations. Group and couples activities will explore the depths of a Dharmic marriage and the life purpose.  Partner yoga, partner massages and fun cooking classes will be some of the couples building activities.

Revitalzing Detox & Spiritual Unfoldment
This  supportive & healing atmosphere allows you to feel safe as you detox on many levels.  Our aim is to bring about physical transformation while reinvigorating your emotional, mental and spiritual self. All revitalizing and detox activities will be based on the age-old wisdom of Ayurveda.

Costa Rica  greeted me with a lush and tranquil environment,  where mountains meet the skies and sacred volcanos watch over us. These retreats are perfect for those who desire a  practical  approach to incorporating health and wholeness into  daily
life. I invite you to consider trea ting yourself to one of these potentially life changing wellness immersions.  Stay posted and I will provide the details as they unfold.

Remember our invitation: The first step is to make a commitment to your self-care, the next step is to take action and enter the door. The Mindfully Well Center will take care of the rest.

Highlight: Kelly will be back in May: 3-day Detox & Rejuvenation Program.

Be Well my friends!
Stay out of the blustery winds & enjoy the warmth of the Sun that peeks through!

God's Gift - Nature

When the beautiful morning comes
The rays of rising sun kiss her
When the garden of nature open its heart
The garden of flowers hugs her to welcome
When the trees dance to tune of wind
The birds singing to the nature's choir
When the gentleness of nature is filled pleasure
Then the earth gets wet with weather
When the nature forgets its vastness
Then the God shows her how big her place on earth
Let us thank God for his creation and given us
eyes to see lovely gift - Nature

1/2 cup chopped raw macadamia or pine nuts
1/2 cup sunflower sprouts (optional)
1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and minced
4 cloves garlic, minced (omit for pitta)
1 ( 1-inch) piece fresh turmeric root, peeled and minced (optional)
1/2 cup Creamy Cucumber-Tahini Dressing

  6. Prepare the remaining ingredients and place them within easy reach.
  7. Place 2 collard leaf halves lengthwise on top of each other. Place 1 or 2 strips each of the sweet potatoes, bell pepper and avocados across the lower third of the collard leaves.
  8. Top with 1 teaspoon each of the beet, carrot, macadamia nuts and optional sunflower sprouts
  9. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon each of the ginger, garlic and optional turmeric. Drizzle with 2 teaspoons of the Creamy Cucumber-Tahini Dressing.
  10. Carefully fold the end of the collard leaves over the filling and roll up into snug wrap.
