San Luis Obispo County Planning and Building Department, in cooperation with Cal Poly University, is conducting a survey of people who live, visit, or are interested in the future of Avila. The survey is part of the Avila Beach Community Plan update and is now  open at  http://landscapemap2.org/avilabeach/ .

On February 28, the Board of Supervisors voted 3 to 1 (Arnold opposed and Peschong recused) in favor of a letter supporting HR 731.
