This month, we're talking to board member and chair of one of our organization's signature events, The Taste for The First Tee, Michael Bosica. Read on to learn more about the Cushman & Wakefield vice president's commitment to The First Tee of Howard County.

Q: When did you first get involved with The First Tee, and what made you decide to take your commitment to the next level by chairing the committee that organizes such a huge undertaking -- The Taste for The First Tee? 
A: I'd heard good things about The First Tee, and have been involved since 2009. This is my fourth year chairing the Taste committee; while I've found being a board member to be rewarding, taking the reins on a key fundraising event pushes your commitment and emphasizes you doing something beyond putting The First Tee on your resume. 

Time is Running Out - Buy Your Tickets for The Taste for The First Tee

Our 10th Annual Taste for The First Tee is just a little more than a month away! Tickets are on sale on our website, and include  tastes' of delicious foods donated by some of Howard County's best restaurants, open bar, live and silent auctions, and a live jazz band at Turf Valley's Grand Ballroom on April 27 from 6-9pm.

Free Registration for LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Program

Parents of girls ages 7-17, we have great news from Coach Karin Vanslyke. This year, registration for the  LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program is FREE! 

Coach Karin has made it her goal to register at least 100 girls. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a community of 60,000+ girls across the globe receiving quality golf instruction from LPGA and PGA teaching professionals or certified coaches from The First Tee. Girls Golf members learn more than just the game of golf, though - the program helps empower them with confidence and teach them valuable life skills, from leadership to healthy living. 

Classes begin April 22, and the schedule of 2017 Girls Golf events is now available on our website. Please use the below link to register, and feel free to contact Coach Karin at  [email protected] with questions. 

Spots Still Available for Spring Session

Registration for our Spring 2017 session is still underway on our website, as well as in-person at our office at Fairway Hills. Classes begin on April 21.

We're looking forward to seeing many familiar faces again this spring and welcoming new ones. Please spread the word to any local friends whose children may be interested in participating. There are opportunities for boys and girls ages 5-18, including co-ed and girls-only classes, as well as classes for students with special needs.
