Faith and Medicine - Working Together to Eliminate Health Disparities 2017 - Walk Into Your Season!

This conference is designed for clergy, health professionals and community members to learn more about health disparities related to mental, emotional and behavioral health. You will hear about the important relationship of faith and of medical care to the health of your mind and spirit, not just your body. We will hear from Rev. Dr. Marvin McMickle, along with other notable members of our community such as Melanie Funchess, Rev. Phyllis Jackson, Dr. Cheryl Kodjo,  and Rev. Dr. Weldon Thomas. We will have wide-ranging discussions related to depression, post-traumatic stress disorder,ADHD and more. There is plenty of opportunity for interaction with medical and faith professionals in how to manage different concerns related to behavioral health. The Saturday conference includes breakfast and lunch.
