Youth Sunday
The youth have been working diligently to prepare to lead worship this   Sunday, March 12th . Come and celebrate their gifts as we worship with the thoughtful prayers they have written, the beautiful music they have prepared, and the unique gifts and perspectives they will bring to the life of this church. We will also be celebrating Girl Scout Sunday on March 12th. In both of these observances, our young people deserve our enthusiastic encouragement as they offer their gifts to God and to us, so please come and support them.  Please note that there will be only one service at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Be Part of Planting the Gracious Greens Garden on March 18th!
It's almost time to get our spring garden planted; Elizabeth Anne Dover has a new crop of tender plants on hand and ready to plant. We are on schedule to get them in the ground on Saturday, March 18th at 9 a.m.
We will be rotating our crops this year and will move this year's garden from the Poplar Tent location to the Dover Farms field at Highway 29 and Pitts School Road (3600 Concord Parkway S).
With your help we have harvested over 6,900 lbs. of fresh produce that has been supplied to numerous food pantries and churches. We are looking for additional help this year to push our total to over 4 tons. This is an excellent opportunity to get your family involved at the beginning of the season.
Supplies are on hand and we are looking for a big turnout to make this planting go even faster than last year.
Please join us to be a part of this valuable ministry to the community.  See you there on March 18th!
Lenten Prayer Stations
Lenten Prayer Stations
Wednesday Evenings at 5:30 p.m.
During the season of Lent, we encourage you to engage in spiritual disciplines to discern God's presence and action in the world around us.  To assist you in such practices, we have created Lenten prayer stations you can visit in Rec Hall to quiet your minds and listen for God's Word. Please join us for these brief sessions of contemplation and meditation on Wednesday evenings before dinner (5:30-6:00 p.m.).  The stations will be open through April 13th.
Wednesday Night Fellowship
Please join us on March 15th for Wednesday Night Fellowship as we welcome representatives from CVAN (Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network) to share information about the holy work in which they are engaged.  Learn more about domestic violence in Cabarrus County as well as ways we can support their mission!  Peter Bynum's Deuteronomy Bible Study will also meet.
Menu:  BBQ, white bean casserole, rice, fruit salad, dessert. Note: no separate kids menu will be served on this night.
Tuesday Lunch Bunch Movie Luncheon
During the season of Lent, Christians are encouraged to reflect on the themes of reconciliation and forgiveness.  Please join us for lunch on Tuesday, March 21st, while we watch "The Big Question: a film about forgiveness" followed by a discussion with Lynne Keel.  Lunch reservations are due by March 20th.
