Volunteer Dufferin has just received a grant through the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, Grants Ontario, which will permit us to do some amazing things this year.
We were able to secure this grant by working with Headwaters Communities in Action (HCIA), as part of their community well-being focus with DC MOVES being our communications vehicle.

SO, WHAT'S IN THE WORKS?
A brand new website for 2018 that will be more responsive to your needs and wants. Stay tuned for a survey we'll be sending out where you can identify:
- What's working well that we should keep
- What's not working so well that we should change, and to what
- What you'd like to see added that we haven't thought of
I'll be following up in person to be sure we capture all your feedback and recommendations.
A comprehensive marketing plan to let potential volunteers, organizations and the community at large know that www.volunteerdufferin.ca is THE one-stop place for organizations to post opportunities and for volunteers to find them. The web address won't change but enhanced functionality and spruced up "look and feel" will!
Broad community outreach to schools, municipalities, service clubs, not-for-profit organizations and residents to let them know all about www.volunteerdufferin.ca to actively inform, educate and result in increased recruitment of volunteers and subscribers. I'll be looking to book speaking engagements, presentations and visibility at local events to get the message out.
Training, at no cost, for all organizations to ensure that you're able to use the new site efficiently and effectively.
Creation of resources to assist you to strengthen your policies, practices and procedures for volunteer recruitment and management.
WE'LL BE SENDING OUT A SURVEY: WHEN WILL IT BE AVAILABLE?
The survey will be emailed to you via DC MOVES within the next few weeks. Don't worry, it won't be onerous. It's your feedback and recommendations that will assist us to make the website the best it can be.
In the meantime, if you can take some time to review the site with a critical eye and start compiling your thoughts, that would be great!
