Thank you to all who came out to my annual fundraiser last month.  It was such a blessing to see you all, laugh a little, and hear all of your encouragement.  I cannot fully express to you how much your friendship means to me!  I'm so honored by it and I look forward to the future of our Precinct.

I'm excited to say that soon the Nichols Sawmill Extension, known as Copperhead Road, will begin.  We have an estimated start time of October 2017.  This was one of my favorite projects funded by the road bond because it will immediately bring much needed safety and security to neighborhoods in that area.  Currently, commuters barrel through communities, such as Turtle Creek, in order to get to Tomball.  With this project, they will have a direct route, which does NOT run through a neighborhood, and those living around there can breathe a little easier.
I'm also working closely with TXDOT to get the 2978 widening going.  The hold up has been the relocation of utilities from AT&T.  TXDOT has given them a hard deadline to move their lines by April 1st.  AT&T has communicated they will try hard to reach this date.  I will let you know more as soon as we receive more information.  I know this area needs relief and I feel that this road work should be starting very soon.

Please don't hesitate to contact me, any time, by email if you have any questions or concerns.  I hope to see you soon!

Magnolia West High School Students Create a Volunteer Day

Magnolia, Texas (March 10, 2017) -Students at Magnolia West High School participated in a volunteer day project called West Serves 2017 on Saturday, March 4. The volunteer day consisted of approximately 200 students working Saturday morning on various service projects in the community and school district.

Principal Dr. Brandon Garza planted the seed last year with the Magnolia West Interact Club, which is a service based organization affiliated with Rotary Club, as an idea for the entire student body to show their appreciation to the community. This year was the second year for Interact to lead the charge and what a success!

"It was heartwarming to see how much the students are willing to do while at the same time having a smile on their face," said Lora Brown, teacher and Interact sponsor. "The camaraderie that formed during the day was something very special to witness. The students are thinking about next year and what additional projects they can add to the list."

HEAVY TRASH PICKUP
A big thank you to all of the Precinct 2 employees, and Sgt. Stephen Johnson from the Pct. 5 Constable's Office, who worked this past weekend on our annual Heavy Trash Cleanup.  We worked two days and had lots of community involvement.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
This past weekend, Precinct 2 crews served their community with a Heavy Trash Pickup.  After, there was an oil spill and they came back out to clean it up along with the Volunteer Fire Department.  Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to our community.
