Thank You Art Fest Volunteers
Mil Gracias to our amazing Art Fest coordinators!
Yoko Tokiyoshi and Koan Maurer are our amazing Art Appreciation Chairpersons who put on the fun event last Wednesday! They went out of their way to tie in numerous PTA activities like Garden Club and Health Enhancement.
Aida Ebeling and Maribelle Samuel are the Spanish Immersion Through the Arts (SITA) Superstars who have brought in numerous visiting artists over the months and shared the Frida Kahlo-inspired self-portraits!
Thank you to all of the classroom Art Appreciation Volunteers who come into the classrooms every month to provide the opportunity for such a variety of creative projects for our students! And to all those who helped set up and clean up for the event on Wednesday, we couldn't do it without you. We have such an amazing community.
Thank you for making the event such a fun, community celebration!

Socks, Socks, Socks for the Homeless!
Student Council Sock Drive runs through March 31st.
We're having a sock drive to benefit DESC, a homeless shelter in Seattle. Basic cotton Adult men's socks in white, gray or black are preferred!
Please bring donations to the library through Friday March 31st and watch our mountain of socks grow! For every pair of socks donated, students can write their full name on a ticket, and enter to be one of 10 students who can help us deliver our donation to the shelter!

Our Clinic Needs PANTS!
Please bring donations to the school office.
The School Clinic gives out pants to kids when there's an accident of any kind that causes clothing to be wet, muddy or unwearable during the school day.
We are in need of pants for little kids, sizes 5-7, especially girls.
The best types are sweatpants, leggings and stretchy athletic pants. Used is fine as long as they're wearable.

Shout Out For Staff Appreciation!
Thank you to Pam Fong and her team of parents that worked hard to show appreciation for our staff on March 1st.
"Thank you so very much for the amazingly delicious bounty we received on Wednesday, 3/1. The parents' generosity was so great that we were able to enjoy it Thursday and Friday as well. Thank you for the thoughtfulness of the offerings. We all felt extremely cared for and appreciated." - Monique
