March 13, 2017

Dear Wamogo Families and Friends,

In the coming days, there is a potential for inclement weather.  If school closings occur, we will be adjusting the calendar of days as follows:

If school is closed on Tuesday (B day), we will return to school on Wednesday and it will be assigned a "B" day.  Thursday will remain a "D" day and Friday will remain an "A" day.

If school is closed on both Tuesday (B Day) and Wednesday (C Day), we will then return to school on Thursday (D Day) and it will remain a "D" day.  A regular schedule will run that day.  No connections and no FFA meeting will take place to maximize instructional time.

While it may not feel like spring is approaching, it will arrive before we know it. With the warmer weather comes a multitude of events and activities, the dates of which are determined by the last day of school. The last day of school is set in April by district office, as is the date of commencement.  When a date is confirmed, a letter regarding commencement tickets and a schedule of rehearsals will be mailed home to parent/guardians of seniors.

Please remember to closely monitor your student's attendance via PowerSchool. If there are concerns with attendance totals, contact the school as soon as possible. It is the position of Wamogo Regional High School that the allocated 10 absences (full year courses) and 5 absences (half year courses) prior to loss of credit are adequate to accommodate periodic student illness or unforeseen circumstances, if not abused. Further consideration will be given, however, should a student experience a catastrophic circumstance which disallows his/ her school attendance for a period of time.

Mark your calendars for the next Parent Coffee Hour! It will be held on April 6 at 7:30 a.m. in the Library Media Center. Please consider joining administration for refreshments and conversation.

Sincerely,
Jaime Rivera
Principal
